making a bootable flash drive from a dmg

So i have a mountain lion dmg on my mac. id like to make a bootable flash drive to restore it once i swap my regular hdd for a ssd. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Yes, go to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4848


Make sure you have an 8GB flash drive.


Follow the directions.


You will have a flash drive which when you plug it in, hold down the option key, and then press the power key, will bring up all the tools of the recovery partition.  I used it to transfer to from a HD to a SSD for my MacBook Pro.


By the way, if you have more than one Mac, make a recovery assistant flash drive for each one.


It only works with Lion and Mountain Lion.
