How do I even view the start-up/autorun programs(without using task manager)??

There are many applications that can do this. If you have Spybot Search and Destroy already installed, in its tool section (found by Mode ---->clicking on "advanced") there is a system startup tool that l will show all the programs and applications that launch on startup, and from which you can manage these.
