I have a laptop which has been shutting down for no reason.  The last time this happened it will not let me log on. I get "user profile unable to login".  I can get into safe mode and have been unsuccessful in system restore.  At a loss......

Well...to my knowledge, you have to be able to login in order to repair...the alternative is to stay locked out.

Can you boot into safe mode?

System manufacturer and model?
