There are a number of ways to delete the file, but the easiest way is with a utility such as Move On Boot: http://emcosoftware.com/move-on-boot

Those files are part of the operating system, I would suggest leaving it alone.

Just curious, why did you want to delete this file?

I'm certain the file WAS there before, the poster just didn't notice it - it belongs right where it is (among other places). It's fine.

Hi

Ntuser.dat is the registry hive file which contains keys and sub keys relative to a user profile. If you delete that file, the user profile became corrupted and you might need to create a new profile.
