Hi there, read the walkthrough regarding the Mandiant ransomware. Created a boot drive with hitmanpro, followed steps. No problem booting, starting up etc. However, once the Mandiant captive screen comes up, the hitmanpro screen is supposed to come up 15-20 seconds later....but it has not! Not sure what to do.

Welcome aboard p22002758.gif

Can you operate your computer fairly normally in any mode?

It appears I can now do some things, although I had not tried internet out of fear of further havoc. Could it be that the two malwarea work in concert, the second one shutting down .exes to preclude fixing the first? Also I had forgot to mention that when I earlier tried to system restore it couldn't find the path when I typed the command from the walkthrough into the command prompt.

And thanks for the welcome!
