If I was to add up all the hours of music I've listened to in my life, and then figured out what  a particular band's percentage was of those hours, I would have to give the lion's share to these two. And judging by your screen name please forgive the second choice.

@ LazyPotato

Please do forgive me for this comment, but why do you have to be a guy to enjoy Alice in Chains? I was listening to them, and I will bet my vinyl on this, when you were still in nappies! Please don't take that the wrong way, I am only joking with you. My son was raised on them along with every other decade of music you could possibly think of, and most he heard on vinyl. Still love my vinyl...

For me to answer this question would be impossible...so much music...so little time...I would have to break it down by decade...genra...gender/group....where would I start? 1920's? 1930's? 1940's....? Get my drift? I am only a tad fuzzy with 2000+ and when it comes to rap...well that is really not my musical note...so ...

Should we redefine this topic and broaden our views?

@Bezukhov

Good Ones...the soft spots in my heart for these two are:

Steely Dan...Pretzel Logic tied with Katie Lied

Jethro Tull...Benefit tied with Passion Play....but I do like War Child....

I agree with battiehippy on this.
The topic needs to be a decade thing because we all love music from different times.

i.e. I can go from Glenn Miller (as was mentioned) to KISS to Barry Manilow to Bach.
For me, it's mostly the mood I'm in, like my tastes in Teas.
