blank dvd not 4.7 gb

searched Google nothing came up but shopping results for 4.7 gb discs!!!!! I have 4.7 gb blank dvds but they are NOT 4.7 when my computer reads them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they ALL say and ALL programs report 4.3 gb!!!!!!!! how do I fix this incorrect space detection with these discs????? is something wrong with my drive??????????

There is nothing wrong with Your drive or the disks. To the drive makers 1K = 1,000 bytes. To Microsoft 1K - 1,024 bytes


Thus Your 4.7Gb DVD blank has 4,700,000,000 Bytes but to microsoft it has 4.36Gb
