Hello:
I am prestently running an Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 on my Dell PC.
I have an Inspiron 530 Intel Core2 Duo processor E7500 with 3MB L2 Cache, 2.93GHz, and 1066FSB.  I also have 3GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz

I would like to upgrade to a graphics card that has an HDMI port if possible to make it easier to hook up to my TV.  I don't run games.  I just stream sports from sites like ESPN3.

I have a 330 Watt psu and a PCI Express 1 x32 slot available.  I need an hdmi/VGA card compatible with my system.

I have seen PCI Express 2 x16 cards that use 300 Watts psu but I don't know if these will work with my computer.

Thank you for your assistance.

Jeff

Hi, you can simply get the Asus EAH6450 1GB which has a VGA, HDMI and DVI output plus it is fanless, so you can enjoy your sports stream without the extra noise produced from the graphics card.

Hi, You only have a PCI Express 1X slot available? Nothing else?

Is that Dell Inspiron 530 a Slimline or regular width?

You could get something Like this. It isn't a gaming card of course.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500299

Zotac ZT-60607-10L GeForce GT 610 Graphic Card - 810 MHz Core - 1 GB DDR3 SDRAM - PCI Express 3.0

Should work as it Full height or has adapters for Low Profile cases, Inexpensive too. However if You have a PCI Express 16X slot don't use this as it is a 1X card.

Good Luck

Roger

Thanks for your reply Michael.  However this Asus card needs 400 Watts or more.

Roger...I do have a PCI Express 1x slot available so I guess I can go with the Zotac card.  I went to the GeForce site and the the Geforce GT 610 card needs 300 Watts so I guess this one will work.

Thanks.

Jeff
