I have a domain name registered  at Go daddy but never set up a website.  I need proof that I never set up an email account under that same domain name.  How do you prove something like that (that doesn't exist )?  Any advice?  Thank you

Who exactly needs this proof and why?

If you never set up a website - AND never contracted with a server for hosting - then if you try to access the domain right now you'll get a page that says "Welcome to: yourdomain.com" with GoDaddy ads on it.  If that is the case with you, GoDaddy would know email had not been set up.

IF, however, you also contracted for web hosting with GoDaddy when you registered the domain, or with anyone else afterward, then you also got email service, and there MAY be a default address set up, which MAY be accepting anything addressed to the domain, and could be hacked into to send spam, for instance.  If that is what's happening, then you might have a chance of proving it was not you if the IP# logged in when the spam was sent could not have been you.  The server admin should be able to access that information if you can't.  If the problem is spam and you have a full header of what was sent, lemme see it...

Thanks, as that info was most helpful.  I need it to prove to the court  that I did not have that email addy .  Never was set up and never sent or received emails from there.
