I am not sure if this is the right forum for this topic, because it said Windows XP Home and Professional, but I did not see a forum for XP Media Center anywhere and I need some advice please....

I have a laptop HP that I use for situations where I need to take my work somewhere outside of the house, and when I logged on yesterday it had revertyed back to 2006, when I first purchased the laptop, and now I have lost everything. :smash:

Also, every time I try to go online to get assistance it says I need to change my search provider to Live Search, which I have not used for years.  :killcomp:

I just KNOW that some creepy hacker from another country has infected my system, but whoever it is has erased all my restore points, except one WAY back in JUne 2006. :nono:

I have tried to download and install Kaspersky anti-virus, but after doing so it does not show up anywhere that I can use it. :axe:

Man these hackers are getting more and more adept at screwing people's computers up, and for the life of me I cannot figure out what they gain from doing it. In any case, I need my computer restored to how it was earlier this week, please, and thanks in advance!!
