Hello,

When I do a search on Yahoo, I click the link provided and get a random page, not the page I was expecting. For example, I search for BANANAS, and get a link for Wikipedia, click the link and I get some random page, not Wikipedia.  If I hit the back button and click the link again, it goes to the proper page.

Running Windows 7 Home Edition.

Have run AVG, Malwarebytes.

Don

Steps completed.  Still have the same issue if I search from Yahoo's page.  I do not see the issue if I search from the Google search bar.

For some reason, I don't use the Yahoo search engine actually. In my experience it has limited search scopes and or bugs. Have you tried reinstalling Firefox and or check certain addons on plugins and extensions relevant to Yahoo?

I have not reinstalled Firefox.  I have Yahoo set as my home page and just search from their main page.  I hardly ever use the search bar.  I'll try reinstalling Firefox and let you know how that goes.

I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and everything seems to be working now.  Thanks for your help.

I have Yahoo set as my home page and just search from their main page.

We have a bit of communication problem here. :grinner: But glad to hear it worked. Just in case, use only the toolbar search (google) on the top right or load google search engine site (open new tab) or create 2 home pages when you open firefox.

On Tools menu, Options - General tab - Homepage : http://www.yahoo.com/ | http://google.com

This way you can switch on tabs when making a search and using yahoo home page. You can copy the highlighted homepage above and paste it on the homepage bar.
