Is there a way to improve my FPS in some games without upgrading my laptop or buying a new one?

Thanks in advance :)

Usually you can get FPS increases by lowering some in game settings. Start by lowering Anti Aliasing, turn off ambient occlusion, and turning shadow to minimum. You should be able to find a happy compromise between FPS and Graphics quality until you can upgrade your GPU.
