this is a new HP pc... I checked the power settings for display (10min) and PC (20min) to go into sleep mode....they never enter sleep mode.. even after an hour.. I can put the PC in sleep mode manually.. but I would like it to just do what the default settings are set for.

:welcome: to Bleeping Computer _ps!

Please post the exact computer model next time. Have you tried setting to HP recommended settings - change plan settings - Dim display (2 mins.) - Turn off display (3 mins.) and Sleep (5 mins.) first to check on the difference?
