Hello All

I am trying really hard to clean up a computer running Vista 32 bit. It has MyWebSearch but mostly troublesome is Internet Security 2013. This is rendering IE and shortly afterward Chrome useless. I now have FireFox running but don't know for how long. Trying HijackThis and it will not write to the Hosts files. Running Malware Bytes now for the second time

Problem additionally is there is propriatary Autobody shop software I can need to save so IF it needs to be wiped I have to figure out how to transfer that software. With the machine being at a business I'm trying to do it at home on the off hours

Any help would truely be apppreciated

Thanks

Tom

Thank you Louis

I believe i need to be "on site" then? Logmein free wouldn't allow me to get into safe mode remotely. Also when I did try to get into safe mode the computer in question wouldn't respond to the F8 taps

I did run malware bytes but NOT in safe mode. It caught some items but clearly not all. Also ran HijackThis which came up with not being able to see the Hosts error

Thanks again  maybe I will try to solve it onsite next Saturday or Sunday

Just to update

I was indeed able to start in safe mode with networking with Logmein  Hopefully just need to reinstall the printer software and do a virus software repair. I think it may be good

Thanks

Tom
