I was working with my fonts and noticed something that looks out of place, a "font" called WGL4_Boot.   I examined it from the character map (Windows 7) and saw that it has no characters.  When I tried to find out about it and searched it online, I really didn't get any useful information.  However, when I added the word "malware" to it, I did find some stuff.

Is this an infection?  If so, can it easily be removed?  I didn't delete it in case the removal is more complicated.

Windows 7 (64-bit) File Information - wgl4_boot.ttf

Most of the search results I found, show it associated with WinPE, PXE and iPXE.

This article explains how the font is extracted as part of the boot files and used to display messages.

VirScan.org analysis of wgl4_boot.ttf

Scanner results: Scanners did not find malware!
