AVG Virus

My brother is running Windows XP with AVG.  An AVG dialog box popped ups saying his computer had a trojan and he needed to click to remove it.  It disabled system restore and deleted his printer.  He messed with it for a week and dropped it at my house this morning.  Can ou help me clean it up?
