So my sister's Dell Inspiron N5110 needed a new battery and cord because the battery crapped out and she needed a new power cord, so we ordered them. Upon putting in the new battery and using the new power cord, we are unable to use the computer. When it loads, we can type in her password, and when it gets to the desktop, it turns white, and jumps between her desktop (with no icons) and the white screen. It even does this in safe mode. On both screens, we can see the cursor and move it. Sometimes, we'll get icons, but then the white screen will appear again, and it'll do the same thing by going from the desktop to the white screen. I ran diagnostics and it says there is nothing wrong with the computer. Any help is appreciated!

If you used a compatible battery and power supply, I cannot see how they would contribute to the white screen issue.

and search (on right)   n5110 white screen
