Just like the title says, for some reason my transfer speeds are slower with the same drive plugged into my 3.0 port compared to my 2.0 port.  The drive I am using for the test is a SanDisk USB 2.0 with the factory FAT32 format.  Does this make sense?  I am seeing a difference of about 7 MB/sec.  Nothing is plugged into the other ports on any of the controllers during the test.

That is a little weird but you could try updating its driver, see if that changes anything.

I think I was already using that driver but I tried it anyway.  The 2.0 USB is still faster by about 7 MB/sec.  I tried changing it from FAT32 to NTFS, I found that the 2.0 gained about 500 KB/sec while the 3.0 remained the same.  I wish i had a 3.0 device to try out...
