Hello, I was haveing a Firefox browser pop-up redirection issue so ran ComboFix and now my Laptop Network is not connecting. Lots of stuff in Quarentine. What do you need from me?

A few things to keep in mind while we are working together:

  • If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, I would appreciate it if you let me know.
  • If you are unsure about any of the steps just post what you can and I will guide you!
  • Please tell me if you have your original Windows CD/DVD available.
  • Please copy and paste all logs here unless otherwise instructed!
  • Upon completing the steps below I will review your topic an do my best to resolve your issues.
  • Please do not run any other tools without my instruction to do so!

We need to first gather some information about what Combofix removed, and the current state of the machine:

Step :step1:

Could you please copy and paste the Combofix log in your next reply? It should be located at C:\Combofix.txt.

Step :step2:

Now, let's get an extra report that Combofix makes:

Combofix Extra Report

  • Hold the "Windows0d8a4985-b5e2-41a6-a1b6-e4bafb517937_92." key and press "R" to open the runbox.
  • Please copy and paste the contents of the codebox below into the empty runbox:
C:\Qoobox\Add-Remove Programs.txt
  • Then click Ok.

Now, copy and paste the contents of the file that opens into your next reply.

Step :step3:

Please download Farbar Service Scanner and run it on the computer with the issue.

  • Make sure the following options are checked:
    • Internet Services
    • Windows Firewall
    • System Restore
    • Security Center/Action Center
    • Windows Update
    • Windows Defender
  • Press "Scan".
  • It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
  • Please copy and paste the log to your reply.
