I don't have the computer knowledge I wish I had but hopefully I can get better with your help trying to understand how it all works.

At the moment I want to understand how my asus n55s (laptop) can boot up faster as it's really slow after a year of intense work.

I study fulltime and work rest of the time and mostly infront of the computer. Since I also use it as my live set computer when performing (electronic music) I need it to work smooth at all times. When I can afford I'll buy a computer strictly dedicated to my liveset but for now this is it.

cheers

I am not that familiar wit computers, and for that reason I am having a lot of trouble at times trying to adopt a system that works well for me and my computer.

I hope that in the near future that I will be able to get some assistance from you when a problem arises, thank you for your time and patience, they are both greatly appreciated.

Yes, I'll do my best to answer. I sat the whole evening and tried to understand and test diffrent things. In the end I didn't do that many changes since I don't know what processes to turn off when booting up, but what I did that made a much bigger difference then I thought was to turn off the aero theme on windows 7.
