Always at 60% or more and laggy

Hey guys, I just recently got a used laptop and I noticed that the cpu usage is nearly always 100% and its laggy. I have tried antimalware and such and have also defragged, used ccleaner, and more. It still wont get better. What can I do to fix it?

First thing I would like to address is Ccleaner.  I would suggest not using the registry cleaner on this program as it can damage the registry if it is used improperly.  This could result in rendering your computer inoperable.  Bleeping Computer does not endorse the use of registry cleaners or optimizers as they generally are not as effective as advertised.

 

Have you looked in the Task Manager to see what process is using the most CPU usage?

 

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.
 
 Checkmark the following checkboxes:
 
• List last 10 Event Viewer log
• List Installed Programs
• List Users, Partitions and Memory size.
• List Minidump Files
 
 Click on Go to start the scan.  Once it is finished highlight the text, copy it and paste it in your next post.

 

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.
 
When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File, and then click on Publish Snapshot.
 
The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

Please post the computer model next time. What particular instance or computer usage does it lags? After acquiring the laptop, did you try reinstalling windows from the recovery partition? This would ensure that all bloatwares or unwanted data is removed for a factory default state operating system. Make sure to backup all data if you decided to do a restore OS.

The following programs are out-of-date - Older versions of these programs have vulnerabilities that malicious sites can use to exploit and infect your system:
Adobe Reader X (10.1.4) (Version: 10.1.4) 
Adobe Shockwave Player (Version: 10.2.0.023) 
Adobe Shockwave Player 11 (Version: 11)
Java 7 Update 17 (Version: 7.0.170)
Java™ 6 Update 31 (Version: 6.0.310)
 
Uninstall them and the get the updated version of the program from the vender's website. Personally, unless you need java for a specific website or game I would suggest not to install it. Same for shockwave player, and foxit reader (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Reader/) does the same as adobe reader, but is less likely to be exploited. If you do update any these programs, please be aware of any extras they try and install (unclick the box they normally provide).

 

Bing Rewards Client Installer (Version: 16.0.345.0) - Could probably be uninstalled if you do not use it.

iTunes (Version: 10.6.3.25) - A known big resource hog. You don't have to uninstall it, but it will use quite a lot of your CPU and take up RAM whilst using it (and even whilst not).

 

Advanced SystemCare 6 (Version: 6.3) - I suggest you uninstall this as it a registry cleaner, see dc3 post for more information on why you should not use them.
IObit Malware Fighter (Version: 2.0) - BleepingComputer does not recommend IObit because it steals from other companies and causes conflict between your other programs - mainly your anti-virus. The program claims it is helping your computer, but actually it could be causing more damage. I would suggest to uninstall it.
