Hopefully someone can help me with this... A few weeks ago I plugged a flash drive into my PC. I was horrified when all of my files mysteriously disappeared from the flash drive and the computer prompted me to attempt to "fix" the flash drive.  I figured this was some horrible fluke.  Just bought a new flash drive and tried to paste files into the folder.  It started working, then suddenly stopped and the computer told me that the drive was no longer in that location- acting like the flash drive didn't even exist anymore.  Help!  Does anyone have any idea what is going on or how to fix it?

Try opening Device Manager (Windows key + r then type in devmgmt.msc) and where it says the name of your computer right click on it and scan for hardware changes
