Hello,

My name is Larry.

When I try to obtain a webpage,my computer always tells me that the website has an expired license.

This  message occurs when I access any website. What could be the problem and what,if any,is the solution?

Thanks

Larry

Check the Date / Time set on your computer and correct it if necessary. If you discover that the Date / Time setting on your computer keeps going wildly off reality - a few minutes is not critical - then replace the battery on your motherboard, that's the little round shiny one that looks a bit like a medium sized silver coin.

What may be happening is that web-site certificates are date stamped, and the date stamp is refreshed fairly often. I will admit I don't know the exactly how often the refresh takes place, but if your computer's Date / Time doesn't agree with the current date stamp on the certificate your browseer sees it as a forged web page and refuses to load it.

The last time I ran into this problem the computer's clock had reset itself about 10 years into the past !

I am going to be away until about the 22nd October. Time on-line will be reduced and my internet access may be limited. PMs may not be replied to as quickly as normal !

Exact wording of the error message, please?

You accessed this site...are you using a different computer?

Louis
