I have a Dell Latitude 610 running XP Professional and AVG 2013. I think I have a device manager problem. This occurs with a web based program using a Cardo Scala G9 (motorcycle bluetooth communicator). They way the program is supposed to work is that I'm to log into the Cardo website, then it checks my computer to see if Cardo Updater is installed. Once it verifies, I can plug in my G9 through a USB port and make changes. This works great on my desktop.

On my laptop, I log in and the website never recognizes that the program is loaded. It does this in both explorer as well as Chrome. I have also noticed that if I look in my device manager and I'm on the website, the G9 will appear for about 5 sec, then disconnect and the computer will make the noise of a reconnect, but I never see it in the device manager. I've contacted Cardo support and they have thrown up their hands saying they have no idea what the problem is.

I can also activate Cardo Updater without the website, but I don't know what it would do. If it's on (by clicking Start, programs), I don't see the G9 in my devcie manager, but if it's off, it'll be displayed and not disappear. Does anyone have an idea where to look for the problem? I appreciate the help.

That sounds like a device problem...not a device manager problem :).

Have you contacted support personnel for said device?

If you have two systems...seems to me that you can simply troubleshoot the problem system...by comparing the settings, etc. with the one that is untroubled.

I have contacted their personnel. We went back and forth for a week. At the end, they said they had no idea what was going on and couldn't help.

In last several days, I've gone through the Internet Options in control panels and set up laptop to mirror the desktop. I've still got the same problem. I'm not sure where to look next. Thanks again.

No appparent hardware problems that I can discern.  The majority of your reflected errors...revolve around Internet connectivity, accessing domains, and client applications installed.

Beyond that, I have no clue what is going on with your system.  Let's wait and see if other members have ideas.
