Hello bleepingcomputers,


trying to rid desktop of RCMP virus (random.exe) with FARBAR; OS is windows 7


I configed by boot to DVD/CD drive to load windows recovery disk; then, in command prompt as admin via system recover;


when i try and try and command the flash drive to run i get:


J:> FRST.exe

'FRST.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.



can anyone help?

Please...follow Steps 6-8 at Preparation Guide, Before Using Malware Removal Tools and Requesting Help - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic34773.html and post the requested logs...in the forum containing the Prep Guide.


Note that they do not ask for a FRST scan, so don't do one unless qpecifically requested.


Once your new topic is properly posted in referenced forum...this topic will be closed.
