Hi All

I've just bought a second hand PC, done a fresh install of XP SP3 but a getting massive slow down due to MS servics hogging CPU cycles. The PC is running slower than my ageing XP2500+. The specs from DXDIAG are attached are as the tasklist/svc that shows what's hogging the CPU cycles.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to improve the system?

Sorry, seems to be PID 1096 on the tasklist that's the problem.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:

List last 10 Event Viewer log

  List Installed Programs

List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , taking care to post the link.

 Hi Louis

Thanks for your reply. The Minitoolbox and Speccy results are attached. I have to end the svc process mentioned to run anything at all (including Minitoolbox and Speccy).

Thanks again.
