Hi, I am new to this site. I am freshly out of school,a grandmother and I have just opened up a small repair shop. Mostly specializing in virus & malware removal, cleaning and optimizing, andreinstalling OS. I do light computer repair also. Not much to tell. Just trying to make a living.
 
I am having a problem with drivers on a toshiba laptop. I removed a virus and wound up having to replace the harddrive. The touchpad stopped working and I did the usual to make sure the drivers are correct but it says I am using the best possible driver for that touchpad. Any ideas.

Welcome to BC :)...I'm not understanding the words that you wrote.

 

What (exactly) is the problem?  The touchpad?  Did you uninstall the touchpad drivers via Device Manager (and Add/Remove Programs) and then reinstall them?

 

If you replaced the hard drive...how did you reinstall Windows?  If you reinstalled Windows, then I have to assume that the drivers were installed also.

As Louis mentioned we need more details. Did You get the drivers from Toshiba, They have drivers, System tools and utilities that are needed to make the computer run properly.

You can go here for the drivers from Toshiba, If You are depending on the Windows drivers, You need to use the Toshiba Drivers.
