My computer has 1.28 GB of ram in it but task manager shows that i'm still using 300 MB of in PF Usage. Shouldn't I not be using page files if i have free ram?

The Page File PF is something that Windows has there to be used. I have 1 Gb Ram and Windows still uses the PF. I would not worry about it unless Windows starts giving error messages that your Ram is no good, of course then you will not be able to boot the system up. Not to worry you are alright.

You can run Windows without a pagefile - I've done it. But you have to set the settings yourself.

BUT, there are programs that require a pagefile - so you may find that, without it, these programs won't run and will give you errors. The one's that I've seen are mainly games.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
