Hey guys,

So my Xbox 360 hard drive magically unformatted itself. Seriously, one day it worked fine. Then a few hours later, not so much. I read online there might be some ways to grab some of the gamesaves off of it. More specifically, I saw that one guy managed to do it. I came here asking how would I connect the 360 hard drive to my laptop? It's suppose to be a 2.5" SATA to USB cable, right? However, I keep seeing that the connected objects need their own power supply. If that's true, then I'm not sure how to make it work since the 360 hard drive won't have a power source? Or will it?

Any cable recommendations?

Has anyone else had this issue? What did you guys do?

Thanks for the help!

Edit: It's one of the older white models (not the arcade) from 2008.
