Situations revolving around the usage of ComboFix and/or other malware tools...are not capably discussed within this forum.

See ComboFix usage, Questions, Help - Look here - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic273628.html .

Moving topic to AV, Firewall, etc. where others may be able to assist you.

Louis

What was the problem beforehand which required you to use ComboFix?

Since you already ran Combofix due to malware infection, its log should be thoroughly reviewed by trained experts in order to ascertain what was detected/removed and what malware you're dealing with. A log should have been created and saved to the root directory, usually C:\ComboFix.txt.

Please follow the instructions in the Preparation Guide For Requesting Help starting at Step 6.
When you have done that, start a new topic and post the required logs to include your ComboFix log in the Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs forum, NOT here, for assistance by the Malware Response Team Experts. After doing this, please reply back in this thread with a link to the new topic so we can closed this one.

live_pc_expert, markc01 has already been given the proper instructions as to what he needs to do next since he ran ComboFix and has encountered issues after doing so. He needs to post the required logs so they can be examined and our team can determine more specifically what is going on. None of the steps you provided are a solution to his current issue after using ComboFix.

That does not identify or remove the infection you were dealing with. Resetting is only a temporary fix if malware is still present.

Most of us who assist with ComboFix and malware removal need to see the actual log to know exactly what it detected/removed and then plan a strategy for the next step. This is the first case I have seen where someone was able to see all that without the benefit of logs.

Anyway, glad your issue is fully resolved.
