HELP! I think Hubby made a huge error in judgement/ tech gurus?

basic info

 Hubby got new  Galaxy 3 phone

 verizon tech tried to set it up so his email went to teh phone

 Email went to phone but when he checked outlook expess (charter communications)  he could not get his email on pc

 He's been back and forth with charter and verizon

 he went to Microsoft they told him to  go to TechGurusInc


  He's been at this for 7 hours now and no resolve 



He gave them remote access to his computer  (I know I know!!!)  Mine is networked with his computer  I have bank info on mine!


   They said his registry needed cleaning


 I learned from you guys that registry cleaners are not always needed


  Problem is far from solved


   Please...do I need to  panic and  start alerting  Credit card people or  what?????


   I did suggest not having email sent to hisa phone and just checking it ia the charter website...but nope


 I have read online reviews of Techgurus and most say they are scammers

 I am sick to my stomach right now

Adding in

 Tech Guru used "logmein rescue"


 it's been  about  about 8 hours and there is no progress ..they are doing remote things with his computer.....how can we stop this or protect ourselves??

After a 10hr  day  he had to create a new email account......but  it finally worked.  Thank you for asking.   I am still concerned over this "company"...but I guess no one else has had  dealings with them so will cross my fingers and hope all is safe
