hi,all! my first forum!!   in regards to topic, is it possible to put a dualband agn with 3.0 or 4.0 bluetooth in my hp g72 b62us without hassles, hopefully.. hp no help!! THEY can not deviate from script on page 22 of manual which is their only replacements and are listed below..

● Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi Adapter 593836-001 [this is in machine}
● Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo adapter
(BT3.0+HS ready) (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only)
600370-001
● Ralink RT3090BC4 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo Adapter
(BT3.0+HS ready) (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only)
602992-001

Are the above shown half mini combos it. Or would something like the realtek 8188bcb 802. 11abgn 2x2 and bluetooth 3.0 combo work, which is in hp pavilion dv6 notebook for dualband wifi. I would think it wiser to stay with broadcom then ralink as secondary. Although ralink  1w external wifw card is great but is only a B/G.                                                                  I am new at all this. But i thought it would be easy to upgrade, like a memory card. Or is it hp ?                                                                                                                                                                        all advice is welcome and thanks in advance       mgg54

Both WLAN card are found on ebay

● Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi Adapter 593836-001 [this is in machine}

http://www.ebay.com/itm/593836-001-593732-001-HP-MULTI-UNIT-BROADCOM-4313AGN-WiFi-adapter-/130882405731

● Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo adapter
(BT3.0+HS ready) (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only)

The 2 Broadcom cards looks the same PCI-E mini wlan card though not mentioned in the manual what particular models (1.0 and 2.0) are from the HP G72 series is compatible.
