Hi. I'm new here and have some problems with the Action Center.

I have checked mostly all things which can help, but until now, nothing is working.

My english is not the very best, so I can't explain what I already have done, so if any can help me to solve this problem, I will be very thanksful.

My comp specs are: Windows 7 32-bit, 4 gb ram, Eset Smart Security, fully updated.

Try these steps :

  1. Go to taskbar, you will see a arrow. Click on it and click customize.
  2. Control panel will open, click "Turn system icons on or off."
  3. Change Action center to on. Click OK.

If it gray out or something. Ask me.

Thank you.

Hey! The Action center is ok. Seems it needed some time to arrive after the restart. So it is working now. But I can not open it. I see it and it reports some failure. When I click on Action Center, nothing happen, even if I see it.

Try these in case general corruption has a role :

Start - type this in Search Box -> COMMAND find at top and RIGHT CLICK - RUN AS ADMIN

Enter this at the prompt - sfc /scannow

Then run checkdisk (chkdsk).

You could try a System Restore if you have not done so. System Restore will suggest a date but you will have other restore points as an option. Choose a restore point prior to your issue.

If I had one, I thought I had used it, but I don't have any restore points. Why I don't have any, I don't know since I not have deleted any, and system restore points are activated. I have created 2 by me self 2 days ago, and they are there, but no other ones.

Have you previously scanned for malware ? Did you make any significant changes recently ( updates, upgrades, etc ) prior to this issue ?

You can try: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html

I scanned for malware 2 days ago, and It happen 5 days ago after I used Combofix. I'm a member of a danish safety site which help members to get rid of virus and malware. But in that log, I can't see cf remove anything, so why that happen, I don't know.

I would try to repair my Windows, when I find my Windows dvd. :)
