Xp 64bit Keeps Restart (loop)

friend has atholon 64. o/s xp 64. other day screwed up kept restarting, blue sceen for milisecond (maybe) then restart no luck safe/last known ect no recovery console installed of course. so on wim through in 2000 pro let it load in then exit worked ran mcafee virus, spybot s/d, adaware personal nothing, oh yea they all were updated. restored to earlier time cause i figured was new something seemed to be good. nevertheless he called doing it again. anyone have this with xp or xp 64, probably go there tomorrow and will post my findings but if any suggested start points please dont hesitate.

It is probably hardware related. Is this computer overclocked?

You could go to:
Start > right click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced tab > Setup and Recovery 'Settings'

Make sure Automatically Restart is UNchecked. This way if it happens again he might see the blue screen long enough to write down all that it says. I think it holds the clue we need to make a diagnosis.
