Hello,

My computer is an HP G62-46.5Dx Notebook running Windows 7. I am having an issue when I try to download files. I am an online student and need to download an Inclusion chart. However, when I click to download the file, it will download and then when I try to open or save I receive the message that the file contained a virus and was deleted. In addition, this occurs with other files and when I log in to my online class in Ashford Univ. I am redirected to another log in screen. I have Malwarebytes and ran a full scan but the problem still persists. Any help would be appreciated as I am falling behind in my class. Thank you in advance.

In addition, I now get the message that, WINWORDC.EXE has stopped working, when I open Microsoft Word 2010. the message goes on to say that, - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution becomes available.

Welcome aboard p22002758.gif

It looks like you may be infected with ZeroAccess rootkit.

It'll require elevated help.

Please follow the instructions in THIS GUIDE starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it HERE. Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

NOTE 1. Use another working computer to download necessary tools and USB flash drive to transfer them to bad computer.

NOTE 2. Install Panda USB Vaccine, or BitDefender’s USB Immunizer on GOOD computer to protect it from any infected USB device.
