My computer beeps once and freezes.  This can happen once and stop or it could continuously beep freezing my computer.  My computer also has problems updating windows.  More specifically any security update for microsoft .net Framework 4.  Manual installation or repair gives me the fatal error during installation message.

Hi Kimaran,

Look here : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Troubleshoot-problems-with-installing-updates

However you may have more serious problems of hardware failure. Most generally the continuous beeping is indicative of a BIOS code being issued from the motherboard.

You can find more information here: http://www.pctechbytes.com/hardware/computer-beeps-continuously/

There are also other possibilities; CPU, RAM and Motherboard: http://www.memtest86.com/

You can always post back for further assistance.

Good Luck

Regards.....................
