I would like to find a web site that presents an unbiased study of computer reliability, both desktops and laptops. For me, the number one requirement when buying a home computer is hardware reliability. I tried searching the web but could not find such a site. Does anyone know of an organization that presents this type of data?

Thank you.

I did see this site. But are the reviews here unbiased? I notice that the company sells its services - could this impact the reviews? Am I being too paranoid?

Maybe a little paranoia is good nowadays and I understand. Personally even so-called unbiased reviewers have to be subsidized in some form or fashion.

I try to gather as much information as I can from what I deem to be somewhat reliable informed resources. Then I compare what their top choices are and

see if any of the products listed are consistently in the top 3 or 5. Taking that and comparing to my needs and what performance I desire plus the cost

narrows things considerably. From there I make a list and go to Retail establishments so I can personally view before making a final decision.

This has worked for me and perhaps it will for you.

Good Luck

Regards................
