I was using my USB stick on my parents PC (XP) & got infected with some worm. It marked all the folders in the root of my stick as hidden & created shortcuts named after those folders.
Ive disinfected the stick (using MSE on Windows 7) but need some help with my folders. I can see them & access them since i set my computer to display hidden files and folders. I am unable to unhide them, the checkbox is grayed out. The Security tab in the folder properties (of these folders) is missing so I cant change the ownership or permissions.
I tried running Take Ownership from the context menu of the folders but it didnt help. Any ideas?
