Printer delay

I have a windows 7 PC  with an Epson printer connected via a USB cable


My issue is when i send a socument to print the a one minute to up 10 minute delay in the document print if in prints at all 


All documents delayed web pages, word and pdf


I ran virus checks and no issues


This happens on and off line


Any idea what is going on and how to fix

Uninstall the printer, disconnect it.


Reconnect, reinstall


The print spooler sounds like it's not working properly, IMO.

Also is it spooling to other networked machines?
