I am researching various AD self-reset password solutions for my company - so my apologies if there is a better forum for the topic (did some searches but did not develop good leads - so thought I'd ask!).

The goal is some sort of net/cloud based service that is reputable that we can utilize for self-service AD password resets - from any PC inside and outside our domain.

What are the more common methods used to implement this scenario - I see a # of web-based solutions but these don't seem 'secure' to me.  Maybe I'm being overly paranoid/skeptical though.

Our company is serviced by Microsoft for cloud based email; companies direction is cloud based 'everything' if possible.

I'd love some pointers on where to read more on this topic; some solutions or providers to read up on, pros/cons of said solutions if they could be provided.  Any real world experiences in this area - I'd love to hear them.
