I have 2 issues. There are no pictures only text in my e-mails with outlook express and links from the email wont open in IE9. I am running XP  SP3. I have tried all the easy fixes and if one problem is solved the other is still there. The only way they both work ( for a while) is if I restart my computer. Help. Thanks

Hi, dedee.

If IE9 is running on XP it is not supported and will cause issues. Please verify IE version.

Thanks

To verify your version of Internet Explorer click on HELP in the Menu Bar just under the address bar then click About Internet Explorer.

If you do not have the menu bar there should be a gear symbol to the right of the address bar. Click the gear then choose About Internet Explorer.

This is not the problem.

I uninstalled IE and reinstalled it. This worked for about a day. Every time I restart my computer it works for a while, 24 hours or less.

I cannot figure out the problem.

Have you installed updates to IE from Windows Update?
