How does one un-install Adblock if it's not in Chome extensions?
I had Adblock, found that I didn't care for it, as it affected too many sites. I used the 'un-install' feature of Adblock, and I don't see anywhere on my PC, but a few sites that I go to say...'To correctly view this site, disable Adblock'.

I found this website...http://www.securitystronghold.com/gates/adblock.html   that says it will uninstall Adblock, but I don't know this site, and don't want to download unknown software.
Does anyone know how to un-install Adblock? Thanks!!!

In Chrome all you need to do is right-click the Adblock Toolbar/extension and choose Remove (uninstall)...then close and reopen your browser. If you did that, it's gone.

I don't know why sites would still be asking you to disable it. That may be a question you can ask at the Adbock Forum.

The problem is, there is no 'Adblock Toolbar/extension' to right click. Thanks for the forum link, I'll check it out. And, I already did a google search before posting here. They all say the same thing....uninstall from the 'extensions'.

Just to let anyone know who's following this I'm still working with the Adblock forum people. Can anyone address this...I found this website...http://www.securitystronghold.com/gates/adblock.html   that says it will uninstall Adblock, but I don't know this site, and don't want to download unknown software. Is this a valid site, or a scam site?

Your issue with Adblock does not sound like something which requires immediate attention like a serious malware infection. I would wait on the Techs at Adblock rather than recommend an unfamiliar site advising to download their removal tool.

01. Launch Google Chrome.

02. Click the wrench icon from the toolbar. The toolbar is located at the
top of the window.

03. Go to "Tools," and then click "Extensions."

04. Select "Adblock," and click "Uninstall."

If the above solution doesn't work then you can refer to -

If you read the whole topic, that was already suggested and tried.

Thanks for the FAQ link...it says the same thing as all the other sites/forums say....un-install from extensions. The person responding to my posts at the Adblock site says that they are also seeing this one site that I go to display a 'Disable your Adblock' error msg. So, maybe it's the site(s) that I visit are having an issue, and my Adblock is really gone after all? As this is a minor issue, and not causing any real problems, I think that we can close this, unless someone else wants to add something?

Thanks everyone for your help!!!
