Hi everyone,

Hoping I can get some help from someone.  Here's my story:

I went to shut down my computer and noticed it had 16 updates so I shut down and let it do it's updating.

When I went to turn it on later I got a black screen.  So, I took the battery out and put it back in and turned it on.

I got to a screen that had two options, one was to repair the computer and the other was to start the computer

normally, I chose to repair the computer.  After the repair processing completed I received an error message

stating the computer could not be repaired.  The only option I had was to shut it down.  I wanted to try one more

time so I turned it on again and I tried tapping F8 so I could do a system restore but nothing happened I just got

a black screen.

It was working perfectly fine before the damn updates.  Does anyone have any idea why this happened and how to

fix it.  I really can't afford another computer or even to take it in to get it repaired.  I think I can do it myself if I can

get a little guideance from the forum.

Thanks so much for the help.

P.S.  I don't have the installation disc

Try this:

1.Go into Safe Mode.

2.The screen may said revert changes. And if it said like that and reboot, your computer survived.

If I don't reply back to you in 2 days, feel free to send me a PM.
