Hi, I have a couple of problems I would like help in solving please. One of them is the mysterious underlined links in webpages that produce a pop up window trying to sell something (it's even showing on THIS page). The other one is that I want to remove 'myPC Backup'. Could anyone help me with these please?
Many thanks

Hi silversue, Welcome to BC !

Take a look here : http://www.whatthetech.com/2010/09/15/how-to-disable-vibrant-ads

This may resolve your issue.

With regards to removing 'my PC Backup@: You can uninstall through Control Panel >Add/Remove Programs.

Regards................

Thanks for your reply sikntired, the words are singley underlined (not double) -  I can see the X and ? but nothing more shows when moused over those signs so can't do that as clicking it enters the advert. Also, I have tried to uninstall 'myPC backup' using control panel but nothing happens. I'll re-start the computer and try again.

Okay, does this happen with all browsers or just one specific?

1.) NoScript for Firefox

2.)  Adblock Plus for Firefox

3.)  Adblock Plus Pop- Addon.

4.) https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom?hl=en

It happens with Chrome. I don't usually use any other browser. Thanks
