hello - first time posting on this forum!

my dad, whos not great at computers (neither am I, hence the reason for my post here) clicks on a lot of stuff that he shouldnt.  so i ran malwarebytes and it cleaned up a lot but not everything would go away.

a) how do I get rid of this extra junk?  its stuff like "pup.installbrain" and "pup.gamesplaylab"

then i went into his control panel and "uninstall a program" and there was a ton of extra junk again!  i tried deleting/uninstalling as much as i could.

b)how do I know which programs to get rid of and which are legit/should be kept?  there are probably 40-50 programs listed - im sure many are ok but a lot do not.

I have pictures of both the malwarebytes screenshot as well as the programs he has installed and ive attached pictures of them...hope it works.

any help is much appreciated!

(note: im not 100% sure he has windows 7 - im making a logical guess...i dont think it matters too much in relation to my specific questions but if so i can find out exactly which operating system he has)

there are 2 more pictures i wanted to attach but it wont let me

Babylon, Cartwheel Shopping, Default Tab, GetSavin, Iminent, InternetHelper3 Toolbar and LessTabs can be uninstalled.

Since you could not post 2 other pictures please reply and post them.

Java is out of date. The current version is Version 7 Update 25.

Let's try something else.

Please download MiniToolBox, Save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following box:

•List Installed Programs

Click Go and copy / paste the result (Result.txt).

After you've uninstalled those programs, download and install ccleaner (I know it's a contradiction to install something else, but this program will clean many junk files off your system).

Scan and clean for both junk files and the registry using the default settings (click 'yes' to backup the registry when prompted). Do this often.

CCleaner will not remove Babylon and more.

Try it with this solved the problem.

On this site is
Combo fix
It will remove bad malware not removable by cccleaner not malware bytes. Works great.
Also this site had a definition of everything on the start menu. David
