Why are there TWO icons for realplayer available when I open my user folder (or,right click on a video file) to play a video ? I've tried them both & they both open the player.Does it mean that there are 2 realplayers on my pc taking up that much extra space on my hdd ? Control panel only shows one. Also, anybody know anything about why Realplayers reaction time would seem to lag ? I't's not the video itself. It's the player.Once the video starts playing it seems to be fine. But,before it starts Realplayer seems to "choke" or "sputter" a lot.

You mean there are two entries for real player in your right click context menu when you right click a video file? Also, real player program is very slow and clunky, there are much better alternatives (vlc), and yes, I to experience the clunkienes of real player.

Icons are nothing but shotrcuts.

When programs are uninstalled or updated...icons may be added or left behind, depending on how well the software has been written.

What's reflected in Add/Remove Programs and Start/All Programs?
