MBAM does not complete update is interutpted each time (4 times), when it disconnects during update.

I was able to do a Q-scan without update, no detection results only

Scan options disabled: P2P

Scan Results after with AVG

Corrupted Executable File

F:Documents and Settings\Jople\Local Settings\temp\Skype Setup.exe

The disconnect with MBAM remains

Your assistance as always will be much appreciated.

Hi Jove -

Were you on Dial up ? This can be one of the main problems if you drop out.

Do you get a "Failed to update" or a "message code" every time that you try, or just at odd times ??

I just did a manual update while typing this and it took about 8 to 10 seconds to complete.

I have dial up

when I went on line I noticed flickering and some applications the vertical view bar was going up and down rapidly, . .

so I opened MBAM

and it loaded then 3/4 way through my connection disconnected

this kept occuring.

I scanned with AVG and found one file corrupted

I have not yet tried again to update MBAM

but today no flickering

so maybe it was the corrupted file

I'll reply if the update still does not load, . .

Thanks

I was not able to sucessfully open the Speccy file from either location I tried many times.

Is there some other way to provide you with the information you need ?

Also my System restore is not working it only gives restore point for current day and there

are no other restore points to refer to ??

Microsoft releases Windows security updates on the second Tuesday of each month (Patch Tuesday) and they publish Security Bulletins to announce and describe the update.

Tomorrow is the second Tuesday for July so you should be seeing notifications of an update tomorrow night if you have the Security Center configured to advise you.
