Computer is running Windows 7 - 64 bit as the OS. Recently my mouse cursor "sticks" or jumps erratically especially whan I move it to the right side of the screen. It doesn't happen on some pages, but it is really bad on others. I tried with both Firefox and IE browsers and it happens with both. My mouse is not an optical one (old fashioned ball) and connected to a ps/2 port. I opened it and looked at the inside, but it seems remarkable clean. I've only had this mouse 6 months. Is it time for a new one already? Any suggestions?

The easiest and cheapest way to see if the problem is with your mouse is to borrow a different one and see if you get the same problem with that. You might find an optical USB connected mouse works more reliably.
