I have a Sony Vaio and all of a sudden I've been trying to open up my webcam in ArcSoft Web Companion, and I keep getting a message that says "A webcam is not found or working properly." I look in Device Manager and don't even see the webcam in there. I'm not sure what could have happened to make the webcom become "disconnected" Does anybody have any advice on how to fix this?

I would think that unless the camera hardware has failed Windows update has installed an incompatible driver. I would start by following instructions here;

Don't know which model VAIO you have but procedure should be the same.
