I just have a question about outlook express in windows xp sp3. I sometimes get the warning about how it can clear up disk space etc. I know what to do to stop it,but why does it do it again once in a while after I reset it to 0? Is there something else I should do? Or is it infected? Also how can I get the files back I compacted before?

Please post the exact wording of this "warning".

If you are referring OE (when open) advising you that it can compact your OE files...you should allow that, it's a routine process, set to occur when email storage reaches a given limit.  There is no reason to not compact.
